One of the things that clearly separated ENCOM's mainframe of the first film and the Grid of its sequel was their distinct visual appearances. While the Grid was predominantly black and blue, the mainframe was vibrant and full of colour, with each new setting standing out from the next and various programs themselves popping out from the background. Though the Grid was often stunning to look at on the big screen, Tron 3 should take a cue from the original film in its world building. Retaining the great architectural designs and modern look of the sequel - which makes the mainframe of the original look even more dated in comparison - and infusing it with the dynamic appeal of the original would be an upgrade for the series, updating and refining both films' looks for a new Grid design that would undoubtedly be remarkable.
