Tron 3: 5 Do's and 5 Don'ts

6. Don't - Try to Come Up with More "Light" Vehicles

This is futile to hope for, I know that, but I was very much turned off by the new "light" vehicles introduced in Tron: Legacy. They took the most iconic thing about the first movie (the light-cycle) and tried to one-up it in coolness, and it backfired miserably. The Light Runner and Light Planes were neat for about two seconds, until I realized that neither had the staying power design and simple functionality of the light-cycle. The reason this is futile is because toys are a huge part of these kinds of movies, and more toys means more vehicles. I'd put money on a Light Boat popping up in Tron: We Should Care More About the Plot Than What Toys We Can Milk Out of This Property.
