4. Sophia Ali Steals The Show As Chloe

There's one genuinely rock solid performance in the movie, and that belongs to Sophia Ali, who plays Nate and Sully's untrustworthy foil Chloe Frazer, the beloved femme fatale from the video games.

Even though the script gives her little interesting to work with, she does her level-best to elevate it through her sheer feisty charm, and honestly often succeeds.

Ali certainly approximates her video game counterpart better than anyone else in the movie, accent and all, and there are flecks of fun in watching her run rings around Nate and Sully.

She's easily the best-executed character in the movie, even if she can only do so much against the aggressive tide of mediocrity that is, well, almost everything else here.
