Uncut Gems Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. It Goes To The Well One Too Many Times

By the time the credits roll on Uncut Gems, it does - for the most part - feel like it accomplished its mission, presenting Howard as an overly impulsive character who continually gets himself into situations he should have learned to avoid.

However, you might be forgiven for thinking that it overuses the trope because chances are that you will want to throttle Howard at least once before the film concludes. The desired effect? Perhaps. But it could have accomplished it a little more subtly instead of making the same play one too many times.
