2. The Performances

Obviously, this writer could open this entry by delving into Adam Sandler's leading performance, but as there's time for that later, let's start with the rest of the cast, shall we?

The truth is that it's hard to watch Uncut Gems without admiring the conviction of every performer on-screen. Sure, not all of them have exceptionally juicy material to work with, but all of them make a solid attempt to ensure that we feel like they do.

Sandler aside, the best performances come from Julia Fox - whose layered turn as Howard's girlfriend makes her unexpectedly endearing - and former NBA player Kevin Garnett who is very impressive as a fictionalized version of himself.
