17. Chainsawed By Dave Grohl - Studio 666
Studio 666 came and went surprisingly quietly for a film touting the irresistibly absurd premise of "What if the Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl became a demonically possessed murderer?"
It's certainly not a great film overall, but it does serve up some brilliantly bonkers practical gore effects, the peak of which sees Grohl dispatch his keyboardist bandmate Rami Jaffee alongside Samantha (Whitney Cummings), the neighbour he hooks up with.
As the duo are getting down to amorous business, Grohl sneaks under the bed and revs up his trusty chainsaw, shoving it through the bed and slicing through Rami and Samantha while they're going at it.
Even though the pair perish instantly - as you do when a chainsaw is forced through your head - Big Dave keeps going, slicing along their entire bodies until they fall apart in a bloody heap.
What this double kill lacks in medical realism it more than compensates for with the sheer creativity of its practical effects.
