20 Underrated Recent Movies You Might Have Missed

It's admittedly not the best sign when an A24-released film that had a buzzy premiere at the Sundance Film Festival releases to mixed reviews and flops at the box office.

But you needn't be a Charli XCX stan to get a kick out of The Moment - a mockumentary about the pop icon preparing for her debut arena tour and all the mayhem that ensues.

It's certainly a messy and loose piece of work as many mockumentaries are, but anything less than a chaotic vibe would've simply been disappointing considering the star we're dealing with.

While The Moment offers little of the musical performances some fans might've been expecting, the deeply weird slice of fictional warts-and-all behind-the-scenes tell-all we do get is ultimately far more interesting and memorable.

Plus, given that we're going to see Charli in a whole bunch of movies over the next year or so, it's nice to know that she can give a solid dramatic performance.
