20 Insane Upcoming Movies You Won't Believe Are Real
4. The Goblin
Never accuse A24 of just playing it safe, because their new film The Goblin sounds like an absolute riot.
The feature debut of filmmaker David Mikalson, The Goblin has been described as "Ted meets E.T.," and is said to be a buddy comedy revolving around a goblin and his unexpected team-up with a young man.
The $6 million feature will portray the goblin with a practical puppet which Mikalson himself ensured was, get this, "anatomically correct."
But this all gets even stranger when we start talking casting - Jimmy Olsen himself, Skyler Gisondo, is set to play the male lead, while the goblin will be voiced by none other than the great Kenneth Branagh.
We don't know much more than this so far, but considering that Mikalson had more than 100 meetings pitching the film around Hollywood and planned to shoot a low-fi proof-of-concept version before A24 same a-knocking, the studio must really love that script.
