20 Insane Upcoming Movies You Won't Believe Are Real

16. Coyote vs. Acme

Here's a movie that, knowing the business interests of modern Hollywood, probably shouldn't exist - and in fact, it was very nearly deleted from existence forevermore by Warner Bros.

Coyote vs. Acme is a live-action-animation hybrid in which Wile E. Coyote sues the Acme Corporation for selling him allegedly faulty products over the years, in turn preventing him from catching the Road Runner.

That's an amazing concept by itself, but it gets better as Coyote vs. Acme is reportedly a parody of legal dramas, focused on Coyote and Acme's lawyers - played by Will Forte and John Cena - fighting their respective clients' case.

Warner Bros. initially shelved the $72 million film in November 2023 in order to claim it against a tax write-off, but following considerable public backlash - including highly positive reviews from filmmakers lucky enough to see it already - the studio allowed the producers to shop it to other distributors.

In March 2025 Coyote vs. Acme was finally acquired by Ketchup Entertainment for release this coming August, and if it's even a fraction as great as its premise, this is going to be one of 2026's most unforgettable films.
