17. Adria Arjona - Man of Tomorrow
James Gunn's Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow recently began shooting, at which point it was announced that Adria Arjona had joined the cast as superheroine Maxima.
For the unaware, Maxima is the warrior-queen of the planet Almerac who becomes absolutely obsessed with Superman (David Corenswet), believing him to be the only man worthy of being her mate.
Even if Gunn didn't routinely nail his casting choices, between her obvious physical appeal and fiery acting chops it's easy to see how Arjona is a perfect fit for the DC Universe's iteration of Maxima.
The potential for hilarity is absolutely ripe here given Superman's repeated rejections of Maxima's advances in the comics, and considering Gunn cast a fantastic actress in the part, there's also a good chance she'll be sticking around to join his version of the Justice League, just as she did in the source material.
In a sequel clearly already packed with canny casting choices, Arjona goes right to the top of the pile.
