Bill Hader is set to the be the latest in a growing line of comedy actors who take a stab at the horror genre, with his impending feature directorial debut They Know.
The plot will reportedly revolve around a divorced dad (played by Hader himself) who grows suspicious that his ex-wife is dating a man who exerts a strange influence over their children.
Said ex-wife will be played by the great Linda Cardellini, who has proven herself a terrific dramatic performer in a number of hit TV series, most recently Bloodline and Dead to Me.
Even though Cardellini hasn't fared far into the horror genre before, it takes virtually no imagination to picture her playing this role to perfection.
If Hader, who demonstrated so much great taste casting his HBO TV series Barry, thinks she's the best person to play the part, it's tough to disagree with that.
Fingers crossed that Hader becomes a newly minted horror auteur while giving Cardellini some of the meatiest material of her career.
