20 Upcoming Movies Absolutely NOBODY Wants

5. Sharknado Origins

Of all the so-totally-done franchises on this list, is there one more obviously, undebatably played out than Sharknado?

The original sci-fi disaster film became a viral hit in 2013 thanks to its so-bad-it's-good qualities, enough that Syfy rode the ironic wave and produced six of the damn things, concluding with 2018's The Last Sharknado: It's About Time.

It seemed like the world collectively agreed to put Sharknado to bed at that point, then, but last November, schlock factory The Asylum announced that they were bringing Sharknado back from the dead for a prequel.

The new film, Sharknado Origins, will revolve around younger iterations of Fin (Ian Ziering) and April (Tara Reid) as their teenage meet-cute is interrupted by a 'nado of sharks.

Sharknado was an amusing moment in time, but it's fair to say there's not much lingering nostalgia for these movies, and if Ziering and Reid aren't going to have major roles in it, why even bother? Six films were more than enough.
