20 Upcoming Movie Sequels You Had No Idea About

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was far from embraced by critics, but it was a stonking hit with general audiences, grossing $177.5 million against a $50 million budget back in 2003.

Yet considering that the rom-com ends with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey's star-crossed lovers getting their happy ending, where exactly would a sequel even go?

And so it didn't seem like something that would happen, at least until the recent announcement that Hudson is indeed set to produce a follow-up.

Though no details about the sequel are known yet and it doesn't even have a screenwriter attached, Paramount is hopeful that Hudson and McConaughey will both reprise their roles.

And if not, why even bother?

A How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days legacy sequel already sounds incredibly unnecessary, but if you can't even get the original winning duo back together, there's absolutely no point to making this.
