Valentine's For Singles: 8 Movies That Prove That Alone Is The Way To Go

3. The War Of The Roses (1989)

Starred Brilliant Actors Such As: Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito Imagine Aniston€™s The Break-Up and then take it maybe a 100 steps further and you get The War Of The Roses. This comedy is nothing but romantic, and takes couplehood to its greatest extremes. Much like The Break-Up, The War Of The Roses is about a couple that can no longer be together, but will not let the other one get the house. Oliver Rose (Douglas) and Barbara Rose (Turner) have been married for many years, to the point where they despise each other, and decide to get a divorce. Initially, Barbara decides to kick Oliver out of the house, but after finding a loop hole, he moves back in, which is when all hell breaks loose. The couple will literally stop at nothing to get the house, including a mouthful of curses, humiliating each other in front of friends, destroying the house furnishings and even running over pets. The Movie Says It Best. "If love is blind, marriage is like having a stroke", and who wants that? You€™re Better Off Alone. Just take your pick: would you rather live a long, wealthy life alone, or die a very gruesome death in your mansion with your significant other? The length that people will go to for a good piece of real-estate is just overwhelming.
