Valentine's For Singles: 8 Movies That Prove That Alone Is The Way To Go

2. The Postman Always Rings Twice (1981)

Starred Brilliant ActorsSuch As: Jack Nicholson and Jessica Lange. It€™s very hard to go wrong with a Jack Nicholson movie, but if you want to go doubly classic all the way, you can try the 1946 version of The Postman Always Rings Twice. In the 1981 version, Nicholson portrays a drifter who stops at a rural California diner for a meal, and ends up working there. The diner is operated by a young, beautiful woman played by Jessica Lange, and her much older Greek husband. Naturally, because this is Hollywood and nobody has any visible morals, Frank and Cora start to have an affair soon after they meet and scheme to murder her husband in order to start a new life together without her losing the diner. Whatever happened to just asking first? The Movie Says It Best. Cora: "I'm getting tired of what's right and wrong". Frank: "They hang people for that, Cora!" When someone will risk their own death just to get out of a bad relationship, that says something about relationships. You€™re Better Off Alone, because you can never really know everything about the person you€™re with. You think they€™re sweet, funny and caring, and apparently, all the can think of are ways to kill you in your sleep.
