Valentine's For Singles: 8 Movies That Prove That Alone Is The Way To Go

1. Blue Valentine (2010)

Starred Actors Such As: Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams. Blue Valentine needs to come with a warning that says if you looking for a pick-me-up, this is the worst option for you. This is not a feel-good movie in any shape of form; instead, it brings you face on, with the harsh cold reality of relationships, and how bloody, thoroughly awful they are for everyone involved, and how many wounds are inevitably left. The plot starts in the present, where we meet a married couple Cindy (Williams) and Dean (Gosling) and in flashbacks we see the first days of their relationship and how they came to be as a couple. While their meeting and dating story is very sweet and romantic, it is soon revealed that it didn€™t stay like that for long, with a poison growing between them. Over the course of five years, the couple€™s relationship reaches a place of no return, no matter how hard they try to prevent it, and ultimately the film ends on a harrowing moment of pain, as opposed to a tacked on happy note. The Movie Says It Best. "I feel like men are more romantic than women. When we get married€ we think, €˜I'd be an idiot if I didn't marry this girl. She's so great€™. But it seems like girls get to a place where they just kinda pick the best option€ They spend their whole life looking for Prince Charming and then they marry the guy who's got a good job and is gonna stick around". That is just bleak. You€™re Better Off Alone, because if you try everything, and things still don€™t work out, what is there left to do. This might not be the most optimistic conclusion for Valentine€™s Day, but optimism was never promised as a part of this article. Are you happier to be single now?
