Venom: 10 Scrapped Scenes And Characters Revealed By New Concept Art

Say what you will about Venom (and there's a lot that went wrong with the 2018 movie), but the bizarre dynamic between Eddie Brock and his "other" was a blast. It was unlike anything fans were used to seeing in the comic books, that's for sure, and there was one sequence which ended up on the cutting room floor that the movie might have benefited from.

Running through a forest together, Eddie makes his feelings about the Venom symbiote known, arguing that their friendship was phony because when the alien first bonded with him, he was actually eating his human host's liver!

That lines up with the comic books (unbeknownst to Eddie, his time spent as Venom eventually gave him terminal cancer), but in an unexpectedly touching exchange, Venom tells Eddie he's sorry! This just further emphasises the weird dynamic they share, and would have set the stage for them to put their differences aside and unite ahead of the movie's final battle.
