Venom: 10 Scrapped Scenes And Characters Revealed By New Concept Art

When Eddie Brock crossed paths with the villainous Mr. Negative, the remnants of the symbiote within his body were transformed by the Spider-Man foe's touch, and he subsequently became "Anti-Venom." Able to purge other hosts of their symbiotes and even cure Peter Parker's radioactive blood, he was a formidable threat, and became something of a fan-favourite.

If this concept art is any indication, Anti-Venom was supposed to play a role in the Venom movie at some point. Given how, well, unoriginal the 2018 release was in many respects, having Carlton Drake become the "Anti-Venom" to Eddie's Venom certainly would have made sense!

Ultimately, the idea was obviously scrapped, but from a visual standpoint, this symbiote does look badass. Even if Riot was going to just take on Anti-Venom's appearance, this final battle might have been even more enjoyable to watch play out with such exciting, contrasting visuals. It seems likely that this is an idea that Sony Pictures will now choose to explore in a future Venom movie.
