3. Eddie Brock Mourns His "Other"
Venom's ending didn't really make sense; Eddie Brock witnessed his "other" die in that explosion, and weeks later, he was somehow revealed to be alive and well...minus any sort of explanation. It's possible that the alien left a piece of himself within Eddie, but it's never really the sign of a good move when audiences are left to fill in the gaps themselves.
The concept art created for the movie shows Venom once again going up in flames, but this time using himself as a parachute so that Eddie would fall safely into the water below. Once again, there's no explanation for how the symbiote survived, but there is a little more emotional depths to the scene.
Upon hitting the water, Eddie sheds a tear for his fallen friend, revealing just how strong their bond had grown in the short time they spent together. To pull this off and make moviegoers actually believe in what they were seeing, Eddie and Venom's relationship in the movie would have needed to dig a little deeper (moments like the aforementioned apology certainly would've helped).
