Venom 2: 10 Things We Want To See
2. A Terrifying Carnage
The post-credits scene revealed that Eddie Brock will have his work cut out for him in the sequel. The big story he got at the end of the film ends up being with serial killer Cletus Kassidy, perfectly played by the talented Woody Harrelson. So this leads all signs pointing to Carnage being the villain to take on Venom in the anticipated followup.
Of all the characters that Sony has access to, there is no question that Carnage is by far the best choice. Fans have been wanting this character to appear on the big screen since Sam Raimi 's Spider-Man trilogy and now it seems like they will finally get their wish.
The Maximum Carnage storyline is a likely choice for the studio because many of the characters involved are in Sony's grasp. In that arc, Venom teams up with Black Cat and Mobius to stop the sadistic symbiote. With Sony having already announced Black Cat and Mobius projects in the works, this idea isn't so far off.
Whichever storyline is used, Carnage has to be as terrifying and menacing as he is in the comics and Harrelson needs to channel his greatest psychotic performance to make this one stick.
