Venom 2: 10 Things We Want To See

3. Better Action Sequences

From a production standpoint, the VFX team did an impressive job bringing the titular character to life. And the impressive work done in the trailers would lead viewers to believe there would be several epic fight scenes with a character that has shown to be a formidable adversary in the comics for anyone he faces.

Instead, audiences were left with really only one memorable action spectacle in the film. The motorcycle case, which was heavily hinted at in the trailers by far stands out as one of the best moments of the film and the only time we really see the true potential of what the character can do on the big screen.

The final boss battle with Riot is just a weird syrupy mess that ends up being hard for fans to tell which is which. Unfortunately, audiences expected much more in that department than this film delivered.

When you have an actor like Hardy and a character like Venom, there should really be no issues in developing some game-changing battles and next level fight sequences. The follow-up, for the sake of the entire shared universe, needs to improve in this department.
