3. Make Him Blue

You know how I said Venom looked like Spider-Man after a gym session in Spider-Man 3? Part of that was down to the colour. The Venom I grew up with as a child was always either purple or a dark blue - whilst the purple was badass, I don't see it translating as well to film. The clarity of colour in comics and cartoons makes purple much cooler: in film it's awfully Marie Schrader, don't you think? Which is why they they should make him dark blue, as to add emphasis to what I hope will be a very dark film. Yes, black is about as dark as you can get, but I don't think it worked in 3 at all - a black Venom just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm fully aware that in his publication history Venom has been black, but it seemed to sap all personality from his character. If he's going to be the protagonist of this new film, then he needs some personality. Speaking of which...
