2. The Symbiote In Action

Some goofy CGI aside, it was at least incredibly cool to see the symbiote in action for the first time, showing up to defend Eddie Brock from Carlton Drake's goons when they visit his apartment.

The symbiote explodes out of Brock and smashes one goon through a window while disabling the others, and perhaps in the same sequence, the symbiote also grabs two pursuing cars and summarily destroys them.

Visually, these moments nail the idea of Venom as a defensive force to protect Brock, and while it'll be easy for the black tentacles to lose their lustre if they're overused during action sequences, at least these isolated beats look pretty fun.
