War Dogs Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs

2. Bradley Cooper's Supporting Performance
War Dogs Bradley Cooper
Warner Bros.

You might go into the movie without even realising he's in it considering how little his presence has been played-up in the marketing, but Bradley Cooper (who also produces the movie) appears in the movie's second-half as legendary arms dealer Henry Girard.

Though Cooper's scenes are largely scattered throughout, he still proves a highly compelling presence and major injection of charisma as the slimy, uber-confident and intimidating gun-runner.

Plus, it's great to see Cooper working with Phillips once again after collaborating on three Hangover movies: he clearly hasn't gotten too "big" to work with the guy who made him a star.
