Warcraft: 10 Reasons It's A Huge Disappointment

9. Boring & Witless Dialogue

Warcraft Paula Patton
Legendary Pictures / Blizzard Entertainment

Alright, so a Warcraft movie doesn't need the wittiest or most insightful dialogue, but it would be nice if it were more than merely functional.

Jones and Charles Leavitt's script sadly takes the dullest, least imaginative route possible, saddling characters with heaps and heaps of expository dialogue that may have even the more lore-hungry audiences feeling a little exhausted.

The dialogue is almost entirely in the service of pushing the trite and generic plotting, so even attentive viewers may feel confused, bored and irritated.

And this is without even mentioning the film's woeful attempt to shove comedy into the mix (but more about that in a moment).

In short, the script may make you cringe more than you would hope for. Not good.
