Warcraft: 10 Reasons It's A Huge Disappointment

2. It Will Confuse Non-Fans

While it's a given that the film will be infinitely more appealing to Warcraft fans, if Universal truly want the project to succeed, then it also has to have a broader appeal to the masses. After all, nobody green-lights a $160 million movie made solely for a fanbase, even one as large as Warcraft's.

Still, the film assumes you're fully swotted-up on your Warcraft lore and makes little attempt to include the uninitiated: the script flies through reams of names and places that are sure to throw non-fans or casuals, making it hard to get invested in the world or the people in it.

Sadly, they can't even just sit back and "enjoy the ride", because as mentioned, the action isn't very good either.
