What Captain Marvel's Cast Look Like In The Comics

In The Comics:

The fun thing about Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury is that the Ultimate version of the character was already based on his likeness. The original 616 Fury was a white, WW2 veteran who loved cigars, but when Mark Millar and Bryan Hitch embarked on a 21st century uplift for the House of Ideas, they felt Fury had to change.

Luckily, seeing as how the Ultimate incarnation was based on Jackson already, there isn't really anything that's different between the character in the comics and the one seen in live action. The only thing worth noting, really, is that while we've seen plenty of young, 616 Nick Fury leading the Howling Commandos during WW2, it's rare that the Ultimate version gets the same treatment.

Thankfully, in Ultimate Spider-Man #8, Brian Bendis and Sara Pichelli gave fans a look at what young Ultimate Fury actually looked like. Turns out he had a full head of hair, but he still has that trademark eyepatch.

Samuel L. Jackson was de-aged by about 25 years for Captain Marvel, with the film being set a full 13 years before the events of the first Iron Man. He keeps his eye until the closing act, when it's unceremoniously clawed out by Goose, Danvers' pet Flerken.
