What Captain Marvel's Cast Look Like In The Comics
14. Carol Danvers
In The Comics:
Carol Danvers has gone though more names than your average hero. She was first introduced all the way back in 1968 and became Ms. Marvel after being hit by the Kree Psyche-Magnitron. Years would pass, and the character would go by multiple aliases during that time, including Warbird and Binary, until finally settling on Captain Marvel at the start of the decade.
It is that final depiction that the film draws most inspiration from, with Jamie McKelvie's design by far Carol's most iconic look. Red, blue and gold, it harkens back to the colours of the original Mar-Vell while keeping things fresh, and Danvers has never looked back since.
In The Film:
Seeing as how McKelvie's design was partially responsible for Danvers' resurgent popularity, Marvel opted to retain the look for live action. Brie Larson retains Carol's signature blonde hair, and though her Kree suit starts of teal and black, it later takes on the familiar hue seen in McKelvie's original concept.
As far as costumes go, this may actually be the MCU's most faithful to date - it even replicated the mohawk look too!
The only differences of note come down to the material of the costume, while the film also pauses to pay homage to Danvers' previous outfits too.
