What Captain Marvel's Cast Look Like In The Comics

12. The Supreme Intelligence

In The Comics:

Since its first appearance all the way back in 1967's Fantastic Four #65, the Supreme Intelligence has been depicted as an enormous green head with tentacles and four eyes. It's an iconic look, but one Marvel sought to divest from for the MCU, reimagining the Supreme Intelligence sans its traditional form.

Apart from that, though, both iterations are fairly similar. Both serve as the AI ruler of the Kree, and there's nothing presented in the film that contradicts its comic book origin of having been created from the foremost Kree minds. It is worth noting, however, that the Supremor's origins in the comics are directly tied to the Cosmic Cube, which the Skrulls had previously managed to create.

In the film, the Supreme Intelligence isn't a gigantic floating head (disappointing, I know), but instead an AI that takes the form of who each Kree respects the most. In an ironic twist of fate, this also proves to be the Intelligence's undoing, as it takes the form of Doctor Wendy Lawson, a Kree traitor with a unique connection to Danvers' past.

It's a neat twist, and one that serves the film well. One can only wonder if we'll ever get to see the green head in the future though...
