In The Comics:
In the comics, Yon-Rogg is the sworn enemy to both versions of Captain Marvel. He has a hand in Carol's origins, and sports a green, black and red outfit utilised by the Kree military. He's light-skinned, and while still a member of the Kree military, has no relation to Starforce. Instead, he commands the ship known as the Helion, which is sent to monitor Earth by the Supreme Intelligence.
In The Film:

Again, there aren't many changes made to the character for the film. Jude Law is a pale-skinned man like his comics counterpart, and retains his familiar black and green costume. Although those are considered the colours of the Kree in the film, the only major aesthetic difference between the Rogg of the comics and the one seen there is that the latter boasts a similar battle-helmet to Danvers.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
