Introduced first in 1992, Korath the Pursuer is something of a scientist in the comics. He creates a cockroach-Kree hybrid (no, really), and fought during the Kree-Shiar war. He's also fought alongside Starforce in the past, particularly during that conflict, but isn't as synonymous with Ronan as he is in the films.
In The Film:

In both Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel, Korath is portrayed by Djimon Hounsou. Whereas in Guardians he's a subordinate of Ronan's radical forces, in Captain marvel he is still a member of Starforce, and dons a traditional Kree soldier uniform.
The film foreshadows his partnership with Ronan when he almost reveals Danvers' position, living to fight - and then die - another day during the events of James Gunn's first Marvel film.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir. John Carpenter is his fave, and he thinks Batman Beyond should never have been cancelled. If that's your vibe, you'll probably like his stuff.
