2016's Captain America Civil War was definitely an epic event equivalent to the level of the Avengers movies as the Sokovia Accords would tear the Avengers apart. In the original version, Tony Stark had come along and recruited Peter Parker for some extra manpower against Captain America's faction.

Assuming that the Amazing Spider-Man movies had happened and were kept in continuity, it can be safe to say that not everything would be kept the same to accommodate this new pre-existing franchise. In this alternate take, we would have Matt Murdock as Daredevil joining in the fray as well. This is because of the known fact that Charlie Cox's Marvel contract containing a clause stating that they could have him appear as Daredevil in the movies should they wish.

In this take, we would have an extended sequence of PR work conducted by the Avengers following the initial battle in Lagos. This includes some PR outreach in New York where The Battle of New York had taken place less than 4 years previously. This attracts the attention of both Peter Parker and Matt Murdock. Both Steve Rogers and Tony Stark are present to attempt and reassure the public that the Avengers are there to serve the public good rather than cause destruction.

Seeing the destruction caused by Lizard and Electro plus still hearing Captain Stacy's words, Peter expresses his support for the upcoming Sokovia Accords and that certain elements of superhero-ing do need support from the wider community. As a contrast, Matt Murdock expresses distrust towards the UN taking an active role in the antics of heroes wanting to do good.

Things would eventually escalate with the pro and anti registration factions coming to a head in Germany, with the main change being that Peter and Matt come to blows regarding the state of New York as well as the fact that the Spider-Man/Iron Man interactions have been greatly reduced and not in a surrogate parent/child role.
