What If Andrew Garfield's Amazing Spider-Man Had Joined The Avengers?
2. Venom (Alternate Version)
Overall, the plot of Venom has been quite disconnected from the Spider-Man mythos due to various rights issues between Marvel and Sony. In this alternate scenario, we would fully integrate the different movie universes with Eddie Brock still stinging from his firing from the Bugle from The Amazing Spider-Man 3. It's also revealed that Peter has been keeping in contact with Harry Osborne and has been trying to rebuild the friendship through Harry's emotional outbursts
The first half of the movie would see Peter encounter the symbiote and have it bond to him. He would encounter it during a patrol where he sees a meteor crash land in a remote park. Peter soon finds the power given by the suit to be incredible as shown in an opening battle against an already established Doc Oc who gets arrested. This power soon begins to corrupt him as he has an explosive episode at The Daily Bugle before coming home to Aunt May and Mary Jane where he acts very hostily towards them as well.
After some pondering at the Williamsburg bridge (where he encounters Jack who reaffirms his belief in Peter) where Peter finds out that loud sounds disrupt the symbiote. Peter then decides to head back to the clocktower where Gwen had perished and use the bells there to separate himself from the symbiote. This works and the symbiote leaves Peter to his immense relief.
Eddie Brock has had a torrid time after his firing from The Daily Bugle and eventually the symbiote would come to him. Both host and symbiote realize that they have a common enemy and decide to take down Spider-Man. This ultimately culminates in a battle of Spider-Man vs the Venom Symbiote.
Spider-Man emerges victorious against his dark side (literally!) and locks Eddie up in the Raft. In that post-credits scene Eddie comes face to face with Rhino, Electro, Green Goblin, Vulture and the aforementioned Dock Ock (who is revealed to be the mysterious mastermind organizing them).
