What Spider-Man: Homecoming Cast Look Like In The Comics
16. Happy Hogan
In The Comics
A nice guy with a permanently glum demeanour (hence the nickname), Happy Hogan was a boxer who retired because he lost too much and stumbled into a job driving and bodyguarding for Tony Stark. He might not have been a good boxer, but he genuinely looked like he could have been.
In The Film
He still looks like Jon Favreau, despite the fact that he was beaten close to death and blown-up in Iron Man 3 and is possibly the worst bodyguard ever. He's got a new job in Homecoming - the Head Of Asset Management for Stark Industries. There is nothing to suggest he's qualified in any way.
15. Betty Brant
In The Comics
A high-school drop-out turned secretary at the Daily Bugle, Betty Brant is a black-bobbed, pearl-wearing fire-brand, not afraid of standing up to J Jonah Jameson, who ended up in a love triangle with Peter Parker and Ned Leeds, but married the latter.
She's been in a Spidey movie before - played by Elizabeth Banks in Raimi's universe - and eventually went on to become an investigative journalist at the Bugle.
In The Film
The co-anchor of the school's internal news show, and presumably not a journalism major (because it's a tech school), Betty is blonde and preppy, only really borrowing the pearls from her comic book counterpart. Her blonde look inevitably drew comparisons to Gwen Stacy when it was revealed.
