What The Avengers: Infinity War Cast Look Like In The Comics
21. The Falcon
In the Comics:
Sam Wilson was the first African-American superhero in mainstream comics (the first African superhero being Black Panther), who fought by Steve Rogers's side for many years and even took on the mantle of Captain America in recent comic runs. He's most often seen with his bird partner Redwing, with whom he shares a telepathic connection as a result of tampering with a Cosmic Cube.
In the Film:
For a random guy Steve Rogers met on a jog, Falcon has become one of his most trusted and reliable allies, and one of the Avengers' best fliers as a former para-rescue airman. He runs with Steve during his time as a fugitive from the government, and helps fight in the battle of Wakanda with his advanced flight suit.
He even helps take down Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive when they attempt to take Vision's Mind Stone in Scotland. He's one of those to disappear after Thanos uses the fully-equipped Gauntlet.
Appearing in multiple films since Winter Soldier, he's portrayed by the charismatic Anthony Mackie, in more military-style attire than the colourful spandex of his comics counterpart. His wings are experimental military technology, and Redwing the bird was swapped out for Redwing drones.
