What The Avengers: Infinity War Cast Look Like In The Comics
22. Shuri
In the Comics:
As princess of Wakanda and half sister to T'Challa, Shuri's role has become greater in recent years, first taking on the mantle of the Black Panther after T'Challa is put out of commission and then becoming a sort of spiritual guide to Wakanda's people.
A fierce warrior and wise young woman, the Shuri of the comics is older, and much more of a fighter and spiritualist than her film counterpart, but both are equally fierce.
In the Film:
A fan favourite from the box office smash hit and cultural phenomenon of Black Panther, Shuri appears only briefly in Infinity War to help save Vision's life, effectively separating his digital consciousness from the Mind Stone so that they can destroy it without destroying him.
She even gets a scene where she shows herself to be smarter than the genius Bruce Banner, and Tony Stark by extension, as well as being able to kick some ass in trying to protect Vision from Corvus Glaive. Letitia Wright portrays the young super-genius, technically Disney Princess, to lovable effect in both films.
Though both inspiring, the genius, teen-aged film version of Shuri is skinnier, younger, and more modern in attire than her warrior-like comics counterpart.
