What The Avengers: Infinity War Cast Look Like In The Comics
13. Black Panther
In the Comics:
King of Wakanda and its protector, as well as the first black hero to ever appear in mainstream comics, T'Challa is one of Marvel's most iconic characters.
During the Infinity story arc, Thanos attacked Wakanda in his search for one of the Infinity Stones, while T'Challa dealt with another Incursion (an event which saw alternate worlds colliding) with the Illuminati.
Because of this, and the fact that T'Challa was working with Namor, who was a direct cause of Wakanda's suffering, his half-sister Shuri and the Dora Milaje cast T'Challa out of Wakanda, though he was later able to return and rebuild it.
In the Film:
Having just opened Wakanda's borders after the events of Black Panther, T'Challa assists Captain America in protecting Vision and destroying the Mind Stone, him and his warriors battling the invading army.
He ends up being one of the many casualties of Thanos's victory.
The King of Wakanda is played by Chadwick Boseman in two of the MCU's most successful box office smash hits, as well as having a strong introduction in Captain America: Civil War. His outfit closely resembles his comics one, though lacking the cape of some incarnations. The film version's suit, however, is more high-tech.
