What Your Favourite Back To The Future Movie Says About You

3. Back To The Future (1985)

Back to the FutureThe Movie: The first movie in the trilogy introduces us to Marty McFly, an ordinary high school kid, with an ordinary high school kid's lifestyle. He has a pretty girlfriend, he wants a car, wants his band to play at the school dance... oh, and he has an elderly man as his best friend who also happens to be a mad scientist. Very ordinary, indeed. Whilst assisting Doctor Emmett Brown, Marty accidently travels in the scientist€™s homemade time machine and arrives back in the year 1955, where he meets younger versions of his parents and inadvertently puts their falling in love and - by extension - his own existence in jeopardy. What It Says About You: The first installment is all about overcoming adversity. You have solid morals and don€™t like being bullied. Thanks to a harsh judgement from Huey Lewis, Marty is disappointed not to be able to play with his band at the high school dance. Though time travel doesn€™t improve his chances at playing for his school chums in the '80s, he€™s given a second chance in 1955 when he replaces the lead guitarist to play at The Enchantment Under the Sea Dance. Meanwhile, Marty€™s father George is plagued by bully Biff Tannen from high school right through to middle age in the original timeline. Through Marty€™s influence, however, he is able to stand up to Biff, knocking him out cold with a punch that allows his dominance to last over thirty years. You€™re the kind of person who avoids running into trouble in life, but when faced with problems, will tackle them head on. You may sometimes need the support of others around you, but you will stand up for what€™s right and those you love. In regards to your love life, you don€™t want to know what relating to this film says about you. A lesser film would have be slated for playing around with an incestuous relationship between a mother and her son, but Back To The Future manages to pull it off with simple inoffensive humour. Unfortunately for you, if you chose this movie as your favourite and were simply not offended by the idea of a teenage boy intentionally pursuing and seducing his teenage mother, then it may be time to re-evaluate your morals in life. This matter is made worse by the fact that Marty did this whilst already in a relationship with his girlfriend Jennifer. If this is your favourite movie it can be assumed that you perhaps share too close a relationship with your parents, and that playing around outside of a well-established relationship is something you may do. On the bright side, you€™ll definitely be willing to fight for your love, and nothing beats a good old-fashioned punch to the face to your love rival. Soundbite: €œDon€™t call me chicken. Nobody calls me chicken! And damn, my mom is hot!€ Favourite Movies: The Goonies, Star Wars
