Antony Starr's appearance as Homelander is an absolute highlight of Amazon's The Boys. His performance is indicative of how talented he is, managing to appear both terrifying and charming at the same time.
It's clear not only that Antony Starr is a great actor, but that he has an impressive athletic build, which would suit Beast's physicality. Compared to Nicholas Hoult and Kelsey Grammer, Starr could bring a much more believable athleticism to Beast. This would work really well to contrast the character's primal attributes with his well spoken intelligent personality.
Additionally, it's clear that he has excellent comedy skills, which would be deeply beneficial for the character.
Starr is a fantastic choice because his star power isn't significant enough to overpower the role and this performance would help him to become a bigger name in the industry. It seems like the right direction for him to move in after Homelander, giving audiences the ability to see him as a real superhero and not just a villain.
