6. Nightcrawler - Finn Wolfhard
Nightcrawler is a fan favourite character, and he has had a rather strange legacy on screen.
Starting strong with Alan Cummings in X2, the character was a highlight of the film and many were excited to see where they would go with him. Unfortunately that was the last we would see of the character until Kodi Smit-McPhee would take up the mantle in X-Men Apocalypse. Smit-McPhee did a decent job, but unfortunately the films he appeared in in were all underwhelming.
The decision to make Nightcrawler younger works in the character's favour, and Finn Wolfhard would be a perfect choice for the role. His performances in Stranger Things and the IT movies are evidence of his ability, and this opportunity could give him the chance to bring out a side of himself that people would not expect.
Wolfhard is expressive enough to be able to stand out against the presumably heavy makeup, yet his more stoic facial expressions could also help the character feel a lot more genuine despite his outlandish appearance.
