20100715ratatouille Now we're back in the present time of 2007 to explore the animals' lives a little more. The question can the humans and the animals converse with each other since they both have the same level of intelligence is answered here. There is a scene in the film where one of the chefs tries to converse with the title character and is unable to. The real exploration of the animal's nature comes in this movie after being set up by A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo. The animals are shown to be less hostile to humans here but it is proven that they can outsmart us if necessary. Ratatouille is where the animals test the waters, so to speak, by coming out of hiding and revealing themselves to humans in a smaller environment.

My favorite movies are Before Sunrise, Pulp Fiction, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien and Her so don't be surprised to see those pop up in my writing from time to time. I'm currently in school for Journalism/English and I have an obsession with all things cinematic on the side.
