Why Avengers: Secret Wars Is Perfect For MCU Phase 4

2. There's Already The Perfect Villain

Both the original Secret Wars and the sequel relied on the Beyonders existing as key components of their stories, but it's not necessarily a requirement for a movie adaptation. After all, it would be easy to borrow some elements of the first arc and marry them to the second while borrowing a different villain who already exists in the MCU and had a penchant for meddlesome "games".

Basically, why not have the Grandmaster - who is a Universal Elder, after all - really show his powers by somehow changing reality (perhaps with the use of a stolen Infinity Stone) and creating his Battleworld, with the intention of having different multiverse characters battle to the death for his entertainment? (With a side of vengeance for Ragnarok, of course.)

Seeing more Jeff Goldblum in the MCU would not be a problem and giving him even more scope to ham it up as a proper villain would be a recipe for further success. And he definitely fits that sort of narrative.
