Wolfe directing Jamie Foxx starrer Blood on the Leaves

George C. Wolfe the director of the upcoming Richard Gere/Diane Lane team-up Nights in Rodanthe, has been tapped up to helm the movie Blood on the Leaves for Paramount. Jamie Foxx stars and produces the film which is based on a Jeffrey Stetson novel released in 2004. From The Hollywood Reporter...

The story centers on a district attorney who grapples with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the Civil Rights movement. The studio is searching for a second male lead.
Foxx first signed up for the movie towards the end of 2005 but for whatever reason it never fully got off the ground. The book is said to be a clever and suspenseful thriller which constantly makes you question whether this black history professor is guilty of the murders or not. Could be good and Foxx is an interesting actor to watch when he isn't trying to be cool.
