Wonder Woman: 10 Villains Who Should Appear In The Movie

1. Ares

The Villain: A true force of nature with a love for death, Ares, the god of war with deep ties to Wonder Woman's Greek origins, was famously reimagined by George Perez to forever destroy all the things that she tried to build.

He's been depicted as everything from a young, helmeted warrior to an old withered mentor. While he has the physical capability to take on the entire Justice League when he needs to, he often prefers to manipulate things from the shadows, having other villains do the dirty work for him.

Why He Should Be In The Film: This god can easily be streamlined into the film€™s rumoured war-time setting. Whether he€™s pushing World War I forward from behind the scenes or merely enjoying the chaos, it€™s easy to fathom how Diana could stumble into his plans.

And, thematically, Ares€™s presence addresses the hypocrisy of Diana€™s mission. She€™s meant to spread the word of peace but does so through force. Ares seeks to capitalize on this, forcing her to give into her baser desires and offering a perfect candidate to oppose her in the film.
