Wonder Woman: 10 Villains Who Should Appear In The Movie

3. Cheetah

The Villain: After an initial origin that consisted of archaeologist Barbara Minerva being transformed through an African ritual and with goals that were simply to steal Wonder Woman€™s lasso, Cheetah was revamped heavily for the New 52. Raised by a cult and made to stab herself with a stolen, magical dagger, she was possessed by the spirit of the Cheetah, a goddess trapped inside the blade, and became armed with enhanced abilities like speed and strength.

No matter the incarnation, Cheetah has always been one of Diana's fiercest and most recurring foes.

Why She Should Be In The Film: Minerva€™s story has always tragic. She fell victim to her own desires and the hubris of that led her to become something beastial, whereupon she embraced this feral side of herself. For Wonder Woman, who seeks peace and order, Cheetah represents a unique challenge. This villainess is like an evil beast, creating rampant and unending destruction. She could push Diana to her limits and challenge her to test how far she'll go to uphold these values.

Probably the biggest thing holding back the character is that she's so out-there, both ideologically and physically. It would take a lot of good special effects to render her convincing as a humanoid jungle cat. Furthermore, a giant Cheetah attacking Wonder Woman doesn€™t exactly reek of the tone that DCEU has been establishing. Yet, if the comics are to be believed, then she'd be worth the adaptation.
