Wonder Woman: 11 Awesome Superhero Movies It Destroyed Critically
10. X-Men
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 81% (7.1/10)
Touting the exact same critical approval rating as Guardians Vol. 2 is the movie largely credited with popularising the superhero genre and proving to studios that people actually wanted to see them (yes, Blade came first, but it wasn't as risky or as successful).
The X-Men movie series has obviously come so far from its beginnings almost two decades ago, but the original has stood the test of time surprisingly well, bar some dodgy CGI and that horrendous Halle Berry one-liner.
It proved that superhero movies didn't need to be mindless entertainment and could broach humanistic themes such as persecution and prejudice, something that Wonder Woman itself is deeply versed in.
Further to Wonder Woman's credit, it's also pretty much level-pegging with both X-Men 2 and X-Men: Days of Future Past. What excellent company to be in.
