Wonder Woman: 11 Awesome Superhero Movies It Destroyed Critically
9. Kick-Ass
Rotten Tomatoes Score: 76% (7.1/10)
In fairness, it's mind-boggling that Kick-Ass managed to rack up such a high critical approval rating considering its incredibly risque tone and controversial depiction of a child superhero, but Matthew Vaughn executes the R-rated carnage with such aplomb that he somehow managed to get away with it.
As a meta superhero flick, Kick-Ass shares little tonal or thematic similarity to the earnest and goofy Wonder Woman, though it does also feature a heroine who isn't afraid to splatter bad guys much larger than her, so that's a common ground for you.
Wonder Woman is the much classier, sturdier and generally more agreeable of the two movies as far as broad audience is concerned, so it makes a lot of sense that it'd come out victorious.
