Wonder Woman: 8 Characters Chris Pine Could Really Be Playing

3. Orion

The son of Darkseid, Orion was traded for the son of the leader of New Genesis in a bid to end the war between them and Apokolips. Despite initially struggling to fit in on the vastly different world of New Genesis, Orion quickly saw the error of his father's way and set out to protect his newfound home as a member of the New Gods. His ties to Darkseid make him a very likely candidate to show up at some point in the DC Cinematic Universe. If Darkseid ends up invading Earth, chances are that Apokolips won't factor into a future Justice League movie in a big way, but it would be a big mistake to neglect this Jack Kirby creation, especially when he opens the door to countless other DC Comics movies being added to the current DC slate. With the New Gods and their various other cosmic characters, this could be Warner Bros.' Guardians of the Galaxy if handled in the right way. Chris Pine meanwhile is the perfect choice to play this brash and arrogant hero (he certainly looks the part). The character played a major role in Wonder Woman's adventures during the early days of "The New 52" reboot, and came close to being a romantic interest of sorts. Between that and the fact that his role in Wonder Woman and Justice League could expand the DCCU in a major way, Pine being cast as Orion is more exciting than Steve Trevor.
