Wonder Woman: Every Major Character Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Steve Trevor

Evans. Hemsworth. Pratt. Pine.

The latter is often (and sometimes unfairly) overlooked in the 'Chris Wars', especially since his three rivals all play for the other side. But with Pine making his own comic book splash it's a chance to level the playing field, and he more than takes it.

His character, Steve Trevor, is responsible for kicking the film's plot into gear, as he crash lands on Themyscira and, after a struggle with the Lasso of Truth, heads back into war with Diana.

He's a key part of the plot, playing second fiddle only to Diana herself, and is a great twist on the typical love-interest role. Displaying the same deadpan humour we've seen in Star Trek he's an absolute hoot, getting a lot of great lines, but is also as relatable as ever. He frequently needs saving and is often in awe of Diana, and the pair have a chemistry that's as wonderful as any couple in recent comic book movie history.

He does add some extra layers though, imbuing the character with a weariness that comes from seeing too much of war, and he gets a well-deserved heroic moment. Above all Pine is ridiculously charming, and in his own words, definitely "above average".
