Wonder Woman Movie: 10 Signs It Might Actually Be Good
8. Patty Jenkins Is Directing The Movie
The news that Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones vet Michelle MacLaren had parted ways with Warner Bros. over Wonder Woman due to creative differences came as a huge blow. Her replacement is no less impressive, as Monster helmer Patty Jenkins was quickly chosen to take over. Ironically, she split with Marvel over creative differences in regards to Thor: The Dark World a number of years ago. Now she finally gets her chance to make a superhero movie, you have to believe that Jenkins is going to want to show Marvel what they missed out on, and that chip on her shoulder could help rocket Wonder Woman to greatness. Monster resulted in Charlize Theron winning an Academy Award, so Jenkins is clearly a filmmaker who knows how to get the best out of her leads. Plus, as she's only directed a handful of episodes of TV shows like The Killing and Entourage since then, she's no doubt keen to get back on a movie set, and so her involvement is definitely a good reason to be excited about Wonder Woman. This will be a big test for Jenkins, but she's a great choice.
